Letter to Elizabeth of York 30 May 2022

30 May 2022

Dear Elizabeth of York,

I want to talk to you about a few things, about your son Henry VIII and his six wives.

Let’s start with his first wife who was also prince Arthur’s wife. Catherine of Aragon, she should have never been allowed to marry Henry. I believe that she should have been sent back to Spain. She could not give the king a son for no more than a month. The one child that she did give Henry was a very evil girl and Queen. She killed over 300 people because of religion. I also believe that Catherine laid with prince Arthur and lied about being a virgin when she married Henry.

Now let’s talk about wife number two of your son, Anne Boleyn. She gave birth to your namesake Queen Elizabeth I, and Anne gave birth to the greatest monarch of the Tudor era. Elizabeth brought England to the golden era. But your son had Anne beheaded on false allegations, he accused her of laying with five men, when really, she only laid with one man: her husband your son. I always have believed that Anne was innocent of all the allegations.

Moving on to wife number three Jane Seymour. Now all I can tell you about her is that she died after she gave birth to your grandson Edward VI. Jane didn’t get to do much as a queen, she isn’t one of my favorites. Like Jane her son didn’t get to do much since he died before he was an adult. Edward VI was just a boy when he took the throne. He died in July 1553. When he died your Great granddaughter took the throne for 9 days, but your granddaughter Mary I deposed her and after a failed attempt to attack Mary I and kill her, by Lady Jane Grey’s father; Mary I had her beheaded February 1554.

Let’s move on to wife number four Anna Von Kleve also known as Anne of Cleves, the German queen consort of England. She was verbal abused by your son, he called her a horse and then tossed aside just a few months after they wed. Anna Von Kleve was the longest living former queen dying on 16 July 1557.

Now on to the fifth wife of your son. Katherine Howard, no one is quite sure how old Katherine was, some say she was between 15 or 19 when Henry was 49. But this marriage didn’t last long, because just a few months to a year after they wed; she started an affair with Thomas Culpeper. But before that it was rumored that she had been betrothed to Francis Dereham. They would go around calling one another husband and wife. She wrote a love letter to Thomas Culpeper which sealed her fate. On 1 November 1541 King Henry found a letter describing the allegations against Katherine. I believe that Henry didn’t want to believe it, so he had her investigated, and found that it might be possible that she laid with Culpeper and Dereham. Katherine and Jane Boleyn were both beheaded on 13 February 1542. Now I believe she had it coming, thinking she could get away with it. When in fact her cousin Anne Boleyn was falsely accused and wrongfully executed.

Now on to the sixth and final wife Catherine Parr, had something in common with Henry. They both had multiple marriages. But Catherine never beheaded any of her husband's. Before she married your son in 1543 and lasted through the marriage just barely. On 28 January 1547 Catherine Parr became Dowager Queen of England.
